My First Robot | Parent & Child Workshop

Spring Hill - Williamson County Longview Rec Center

Ages 4–7 | Intro to Robotics with One Grown-Up Guest

Get ready to build, bond, and explore the world of robotics—together! In this fun and playful introductory workshop, young engineers (ages 4–7) team up with a parent or caregiver to discover how simple robots move, light up, and respond to the world around them.

Using age-appropriate building kits and a hands-on approach, families will:

  • Build basic robot models with motors and sensors

  • Explore how robots move, react, and “think”

  • Learn early STEM concepts through guided play

  • Enjoy creative challenges designed to spark curiosity and collaboration

No experience needed—just a love of building, exploring, and working together! This workshop is the perfect first step into the world of robotics, offering quality parent–child time while introducing technology in a fun and accessible way.

Watch your little one light up as their very first robot comes to life—with your help!
